One of the country’s most popular ridges; its sharp rock peak cannot be ascended without scrambling (in-between a steep walk and a rock climb which will require you to use your hands) while the famously exposed knife-edged ridge connecting it with Garnedd Ugain is an area where the unprepared can get into difficulties. The exposure to high winds can be fierce, it can be slippery underfoot and there is a danger of losing your way and veering off the path.
